Alteration of Regional Flag

Ahbas, the Emir of Califghanistan, has officially altered the Regional Flag of the Association of Islamic Nations. The new flag "better illustrates our beliefs and ideals," he claimed.

Let's take a look at the flag's elements.

1. Colors: The colors of the flag, green and white, are generally seen as Islamic colors worldwide, and of every Muslim nation, only Albania, Chad, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan don't have these colors.

2. Shahada: The Shahada on top reflects our main beliefs and practices, as entitled to us by God. Our first act as Muslims is our declaration of faith, "There is no deity but God and Muhammad is his Messenger."

3. Palm tree: The palm tree is a reflection of the food that Muhammad ate; dates. These came from palm trees. A palm tree also symbolizes peace. It is curved to show that no one is perfect, but we can overcome our imperfections. It is also a symbol that many NationStates in this Region are fond of.

4. Crescent: The crescent, in conjunction with a star, is usually seen as a representation of Islam, despite not being an Islamic symbol. The crescent also represents a moon, which we use to keep track of the date.

5. Stars: The stars represent our NationStates; one for each NationState, for a total of 14.

6. Sword: The sword is a curved cavalry saber, typical of Muslim warriors. It represents our courage and bravery, and it is under everything else to show our defense of those things and our ideals.
