The Lazarene Empire (Faction)

You stand there, at a palace of authority, the political core of the Empire...

You stare at that chamber, where the laws of the realm are made, where councilmen obtain fame and prestige or just fall...you are there. You are now one of them.

This place radiates power...all of it, you can feel it...

You start to wonder: perhaps you may wear the Imperial crown one day?

You strike that idea off your mind...how absurd, no? Or is it? Is it truly? To do so would require a cunning individual who may forge political alliances, unite a coalition of various peoples, and be merciless if need be. Can you do it? Will you? The choice is yours.

But, as you walk into the council, you must leave these thoughts aside. After all, your destiny is only just beginning.

Will your wealth surpass them all? Will your prestige outrank these people? Shall your influence be felt to such a degree that you will hold the nation in your grasp? Or will you wear the crown? Only you can work towards any goal you desire, in this living game of cruel chess. In this game of Lazarene Empire.

Greetings! If you would like to join the Lazarene Empire faction, we invite you to do so! If you look for a place where you may conspire to gain power, wealth and influence without any legal or emotional consequences, then this faction is for you.

Work your way in this game as you try to create political alliances to bolster your goals. Do you want to be the richest man in the Empire? Do you want a high rank of nobility, and for your province to be held in high regard? Do you want political power and join the Executive? Or is your goal to overthrow the Emperor himself and take the crown for yourself? You may choose one of these goals, multiple, or every single one of them. How you choose to gain power is up to you. And if you don't want power, you're welcome as well!

Here are some guidelines:

1. Don't feel emotional attachment. Remember, if someone in this game backstabs you, they are just playing it as it was intended. If a politician extortions you for money from the Imperial budget, no harm in it all! If you are blocked from power by an influential individual, don't feel anger. In short: don't hold grudges. If you believe you are too sentimental and get hurt easily, I encourage you to look elsewhere. I wish you not harm, after all.
2. You can plot to destabilize or overthrow the government. Don't worry, you're not getting expelled out of the faction (after all, it is an essential part of the game)! If you are found guilty by the faction's court, then you were not caught as a dirty criminal, but you just lost the game, and thus you can always start over and try to conspire again. Punishments may include fines, stripping of your titles, etc., but never expulsion for an IC crime. There will be no actual legal consequences for your IC participation here, no matter how cunning or dark you are in your power plays.
3. Even if this game is on conspiracies, plots and lust for power, we will still follow Lazarene and NS guidelines for behaviour. The only flaming, baiting, etc. that will be allowed is in-character attacks (aka, only IC toxicity will be tolerated, as you are not getting insulted, just the character you are playing as). If you try to start toxicity outside your IC character, we will take action according to standards and regulations (Example: you can flame my character as the Emperor, as it is totally allowed if you are my political enemy, but you cannot flame me as a person, or, in other words, OOCly).
4. Don't break regional laws whilst playing here. We will prosecute those according to Lazarene law, and we must cooperate with the authorities.

Just state your nation in Lazarus, choose a province from the map here, and I shall let you in the faction! I do suggest getting Discord and/or signing up for the forums, as we will do all our operations there.
