Overview :
The Takeda Shogunate is a superpower that dominated the region of Thaecia over the past decade. Led by the fanatic will to reunite the world under its dominion, the Shogunate became a strongly reactionnary and militaristic state. However, the last years saw the development of corruption, while the government became the place of ponctual clashes between the Administrator's caste and the Military caste, both sharing the leadership of the country ; this opposition made the Shogunate fall into deliquescence, as more and more opposition movement appeared underground.
The leader Minamoto no Harunobo, believing the situation needs to change, is now preparing a coup with the help of the military...

While not renowmed for their efficience or their equipment, the Shogunate's armies compensate their lack of skill with fanaticism and often suicidal methods.

The military caste is plotting a coup in order to give full control to a military junta that will hopefully stabilize the internal state of the Shogunate.

The Shogunate has been shaken recently by a campaign of terror attacks and local uprisings led by what seems to be an assemblage of a variety of radical leftist groups. Undermining the stability of the country, those groups have to be stopped.

Overview:
A Kingdom born form the ash of the Shogunate. The former puppetstate is now independent. After the great war Memel decided that they need something for themselves, away from the big superpowers. But without help from outside the early political system, which was and liberal dictatorship, collapsed and leaved a big gap for Prince Flei de Carro form Cielonya who claimed the Memel's throne. He established his own dictatorship in the form of a kingdom and rules with an iron fist over his new land. After some economic crisis and an highly unstable economy, Great Memel is now on the way up. The Prince established strict economic reforms and reintroduced compulsory military service. Now, using the military and police he enjoys complete control of the people. Anyone who steps out of line risks getting locked away or worse. But thanks to this there is nearly no crime and murder, a price that the people payed with their freedom...

New Torask is A Democratic nation with a bad relationship with the Takeda Shogunate, and good relationships with everyone else, except the Graniabley Islands, which we are sending troops to help the Democratic Insurgency. In 1892, New Torask came into being and the original goal was this: The peoples happiness, and still is today. The military is also a focus, with the Takeda Shogunate being the only power with nuclear warheads and being New Torask's rival. In order to protect New Torask and other nations from the Takeda Shogunate, New Torask founded the Democratic faction known as the Free World.
New Torask is a nation with it's eyes on scientific advancement, starting a nuclear program and a space program, also trying to posses the best warfare,medical and espionage tech.
Fight for those who can't. -New Torask Army,Coast Guard and Marines motto. The New Torask army is trained little in other branch skills, the most being how to shoot boat artillery and drop missiles from bombers. But the New Torask army is very technologically advanced, but are easier to spot without special gear.
Protect the New Torask seas from the ultimate terrors -New Torask Navy motto. The New Torask Navy is filled with Cruisers (341) and the occasional Destroyer (21) and Aircraft Carrier (1). The New Torask Navy has the most active personnel, barley in front of the Army. The New Torask Navy is also, when not at war, has a competition of who has the best ship name. When that's not happening, they catch pirates off in the deep blue sea.

Overview :
Following the collapse of the Graniablan Commonwealth in 1852, the small country has been headed by a corrupt dictatorship whose grip on the country has been severely weakened by Alexander Sar Mufilier's predecessor's poor economic policies. Despite Sar Mufilier's charismatic personality and sweeping economic reforms, an organized rebellion formed and has gained control of many of the smaller islands and has real potential of overthrowing the government in a civil war. The priority for both sides is to win the civil war, and both sides will do whatever it takes to win allies and support.
The Insurgent faction is composed of a variety of smaller groups, the largest of which are the SGDU (Sar Graniabley Democratic Union), SGMF (Sar Graniabley Marxist Front), and the VNM (Vorenko Nationalist Militia). All are united against Sar Mufilier, but have differing views of what will succeed his dictatorship. The SGDU supports a unitary Constitutional Republic, the SGMF supports a communist state, and the VNM supports the abolition of a Sar Graniablan government altogether in favor of full sovereignty for individual islands.

14.Myrineos Overview :
Overview :
The nation of Myrineos started out as an isolationist island focused on environment and culture. While these ideologies still stick with the country, the rule of President Alexios Hizayat has launched the country into a golden era of diplomacy and strong trade relations. Despite the nations good reputation it has had it's share of feuds, primarily with the Takeda Shogunate. Myrineos has long despised the Shogunate due to its corruption and warmongering ways. Myrineos eventually imposed an embargo on the Shogunate but quickly dealt with the consequences. Shortly after the embargo Myrineos was bombed by the Shogunate, leaving massive damage to the nation and it's environment and devastating it's citizens. Ever since this attack Myrineos has lived in fear of the Shogunate, in hopes that it can regain it's former glory as a nation.

Overview :
Originally a collection of tribal nations, Brototh's introduction to the modern world came about when a freighter from an unknown nation crashed onto shores. Once a tribe got their hands on the contents within, they used them to establish a united island, better for all, soon gaining position on the International Committee and resisting colonial efforts made by other great powers. Hundreds of years later, a violent revolution began, between the democrats and communists. The communists, against all odds, emerged victorious and banned elections, hanging most of the democratic leaders, or imprisoning them for life. Even today, a very few amount of elders can still remember the revolution, all of them still feeling the true heart of democracy and would even be willing to join a democratic party, if it started again, to give their own special advice on how to rule the country. The nation, especially the communists that were in command, are extremely paranoid another revolution may begin, to restore the democratic leadership, which resulted in purges of political rivals in the communist party, as obviously it is the sole legal party so no other purges could take place, as the democrats would be killed anyway according to Walker's violent policies on criminal punishment, including capital and corporal punishment. Later a civil war began, lead by Richard Arxon. He and his team of rebels killed Alex Walker and Anton Rea, establishing a true republic, and changing the national flag so the communist time would be forgotten. Arxon later formed the Thaecian Defence Pact (now Thaecian Commonwealth of States) to keep great powers at bay, uniting all nations who seeked protection from the greater enemies. The thought of a red revolution has been abolished - but if democracy fails perhaps the people will seek something more...nationalist? Or worse, what the new Democracy has been dreading since they found out about it, but the people are in love over the edginess, just how the real world sees communism? Something like...developism? Surely not, the Developing World are on the other side of the world...for now. The invasion is coming soon for Brototh, but will it be internally through yet another revolution, or externally from global superpowers? If only there was a way for them to become equal...

East Vooperia is a fully sovereign nation that was founded in 1352 by Vooperian settlers in the Nesean Islands. Due to the taxes that the Vooperian settlers gave to them, East Vooperia quickly got independence from the oppressive Vooperians. It then created a new colony that was not discovered by the Vooperians, called YTec.

An industrial, wealthy, and densely populated nation. Led by young President Muammar Saygi, Pacara has adopted a pro-Capitalist yet politically Centrist form of government, which has given its citizens access to the perks of a free market economy that has contributed in giving the nation a high national income, great infrastructure, a powerhouse economy, and a well equipped and funded space program, schools, hospitals, military and police force. Political parties are banned except for the National Alliance Party and the government has taken a hardline approach to prevent the spread of any dissent in the country. This has led to the implementation of compulsory military service for all able bodied men and women at the age of 18, and an increase military and police presence throughout the nation, especially along its borders. However, the government does allow its citizens the right to bare arms as this allows the people to act as a secondary defense force against any attacks on the nation from both internal and external threats while the government itself continues to develop new weapons. Despite being heavily militarized, the nation still seeks to open diplomatic relations with as many nations as it can to not only boost its own economy, but that of other nations as well.
Science & Research Pacaran scientists are hard at work researching space travel, with the planned Pacaran Space Program in the works. Developments in uranium enrichment have led to the building of nuclear power plant throughout the country, and Pacaran pharmaceutical companies are developing life saving medicines.
Land & AirPacara has invested heavily in its military force of 875,000 active personnel. The Pacaran military is well funded, well equipped, well trained, and disciplined. The Pacaran military is one of the most formidable in the region but hasn't seen active conflict in some time.
IndustryAgriculture plays a significant cultural and economic role in the country as Pacara is renowned for producing and exporting the highest quality beer, pork, beef, and dairy products in Thaecia. But since industrializing, the Pacaran economy has been dominated by petroleum exports (off its northern coast), arms and automobile manufacturing, chemical manufacturing, and pharmaceuticals.
Overview:
The history of Norhaim is inextricably connected with the sea. Its inhabitants are innate seafarers, explorers, merchants, and raiders; their trade routes extending through all of Thaecia at different times. Originally, what is now known as Norhaim was a collection of independent kingdoms and fiefdoms that eventually coalesced into ever-growing guilds and alliances. During the High Middle Ages, in response to pressure from growing powers threatening Norhaiming trade, they officially banded together, forming the modern confederation. The centralisation of Norhaiming was not unopposed, however, and various kingdoms had to be absorbed through force.
Norhaiming society is communal, pacifist, matricentric, and egalitarian. However, the country has experienced times of authoritarianism and unrest. The promulgation of communism to Norhaim triggered a swift revolution that toppled the centuries-old Royal Council and heralded a forty-six-year-long totalitarian communist dictatorship that saw many rights and lives lost. The transition of power was bloodless due to a series of compromises and agreements that established the confederation as it is known now. However, this brings instability and the country, although peaceful and prosperous, is going through an intense period of ideological radicalism and heightened unrest.

Norhaiminger have based their society around the egalitarian Laws of Freyr, ensuring liberty, peace, and freedom to all. These laws apply across its shores, as well. Norhaim is committed to finding peace and cordial relationships with all of Thaecia.
Loki's Politics
Norhaim's constitution is a bundle of compromise after compromise, dodging imminent civil war but setting the scene for future issues that are now becoming apparent. As ideological radicality soars and the spectre of civil war looms ever larger, the health and strength of the government and its institutions is now being tested to its limits.

Overview : A Kingdom with a shady past and a developing future
The Kingdom of Chatsland was never for the people at first. It started at first as a isolationist nation hellbent on protecting it's interests. The Royal Family headed by Kaiser Kutz controlled the nation and it's citizens with total control. Everyone feared them. Many riots were crushed and many faced execution by Firing Squad. A Fascist movement
staged a coup in order to 'free' the people from the iron grip of the Monarchy. The people rejoiced, but soon they found themselves in a bad situation. The movement now called 'Chatsland Brown-Shirts' lead by Alphonse Loupe have now controlled every movement that the people had. More raids and crackdowns happened then than the rule of the Royal Family. A rebellion was soon to form. A Socialist movement spearheaded by Prince Albert (Grandson of Kutz) was formed. In order to gain power, money, and manpower for the revolution. Prince Albert had to do some shady practices. He burned villages and cities to the ground. Attacked the cities of other nations. He did anything to bring the people to his fight. After 3 years of doing this, Prince Albert finally had enough men and weapons to spark a civil war. It started with the bombing of the Royal Castle (Now Occupied by the Brown-Shirts as the main Government Building). The Brown-Shirts retaliated by murdering entire villages who weren't loyal to Alphonse. After 2 short years of fighting and with 12% of Chatsland's population dead, Albert and his Socialist Movement have succeeded. The Monarchy was restored but given little to no power over the Government. The Socialist Movement now renamed 'Chatsland Democratic Wing' is tasked with rebuilding the nation. Political Freedom was now at it's highest in Chatsland history but the economy was failing ever so slightly. But not all of it succeeded they way it should. Parties of the Far-Right were banned. Communism is starting to take ahold the minds of the public. Chatsland still sells weapons to rebellions and terror cells across the region to gain money and other goods as well. Chatsland is attempting to develop renewable and synthetic resources to prolong its existence.

Weekly reports
1st War Report :
Hoping to extend its territory to the rest of the island of lekadia, the Broustanese regime has decided to invade the micro-republics and federations of city-states lying north of its territory. Suddenly attacking northern lekadia, the Broustanese took advantage of the weakness of the northern Lekadian aviation to launch a violent bombing campaign targeting civilian infrastructure and farms. Hundreds of acres of cultivated areas have been reduced to ashes by incendiary bombardments (fires fueled by high temperatures during this month of July), in what appears to be an unprecedented terror campaign.
The Broustanese army then quickly invested the coastal states before locking everything down.
The bombing campaign had the effect of uniting the Lekadians in their fight against the invasion; many are those to be revolted by a despicable attack and gratuitous destruction against the peasantry of Lekadia.
The Takeda Shogunate, although currently in the midst of a political crisis, did not ask for more to cut off all relations not only with the Broustan regime but also with its entire faction.
Minamoto no Harunobu was very clear: if the Broustanese do not stop their offensive immediately, the Takeda will not hesitate to invest heavily in the conflict to crush the invading Broustanese forces.
Several northern Lekadian governments are already reluctantly forced to accept the Takeda interference and look to the East Theacian Mutual Development Alliance for help.
This is the end of a neutrality they could barely keep by refusing to align with the Alliance or the Pact: the collaboration with the Alliance powers is now a necessity.
The Shogunate appeals to its allies Ludereich, The reich line, Tsyklon and Sar graniabley islands to align with his policy regarding this war.
Effects
-The invasion of the Broustanese has started well but stops abruptly because of the appearance of significant points of resistance in the cities.
-A peasant guerrilla begins
-The Shogunate mobilizes an important expeditionary force to assist the Lekadians
-The Lekadians are now in favor of the Alliance
Gim Kyuev wiped the water from his aviator glasses, further blurring his vision. He swore silently.
"The target is still far? He asked his pilot. "Yes," his comrade replied. "Prepare the machine gun".
Gim complied. Rear gunner on this obsolete biplane, coming from the scraps of the Shogunat's stockpiles of weapons, Gim never fought before that moment. Facing the war, the federations of Lekadia had declared compulsory conscription, sending young people without any training to the front. Aviation in particular had a large number of recruits, while aircraft that had not flown in the last ten years were removed from the warehouses. People even went so far as to rearm civil models.
Gim's squadron, with a dozen aircraft of the same type as his, flew in a more than approximate formation. The weather was wet.
The sight suddenly cleared. Below the squadron, their target: a formation of three-engine Broustanese bombers. Although they were not as massive as the Takeda or Taralanian bombers, they were none the less destructive. Gim had learned shortly before leaving for this first mission that his parents' farm had been burned down. It had enraged him, and he had cursed these traitors of Broustanese.
There was no visible escort. " We are lucky ! The gunner said to himself.
The biplane in the head rolled a little, leaning to the right and left. It was, for lack of radio communication, the sign of the attack.
Suddenly, the plane to the left of Gim's burst into flames. Then the one on his right. Then another. And another one again.
"The bastards, they are above us! The pilot shouted. Gim looked up at the sky.
The Broustanese fighters were far above the squadron. They watched the bombers from a distance. And now they were swooping on the Lekadian squadron, who dispersed.
The squadron could not fight back. Having an operational level much higher than the old Lekadian aircrafts, the Broustanese planes remained above the interceptors, striking punctually to shoot them down. The Lekadians, unable to fight back, were one after the other slaughtered. Gim's device was soon hit. The aircraft went down in flames. Gim screamed, but his pilot was already killed. The plane crashed hundreds of meters down into the central mountains of Lekadia.
1st Weekly Roleplay Report :
Hi all,
This is a weekly summary, which kind of speaks for itself, but it's a summary of everything that happened this week. These should normally happen on Fridays and Saturdays. If literally nothing happened to your nation, you probably won't find it here unless you joined an alliance.
-Riots popped up a couple of days ago in Erksen's Square. These riots protested against the movement to ban alcohol, which was also a hidden protest against the anti-protest laws put in place years ago. Most protesters were addicts and teens. Rumors of a purge made politicians feel uneasy, but they discredited dictator Alex Walker openly anyway.
-The next day, Richard Arxon sent assassin David Robson to assassinate Alex Walker after no sign of change, and a way to get the ball rolling for a civil war or coup to take place so democracy could be restored to Brototh. Robson killed 13 to 16 armed guards in the largest shooting in all Brototh history.
-Yesterday, Anton Rea, the replacement for Alex Walker, attempted to give a rousing speech in City Square. This backfired, with the crowd become rebellious and angry at his "warmongering". Rea promised to develop atomic weapons and the Brototh navy, which the democrats have pledged to following after they come to power.
-Anton Rea survived an assassination attempt by two snipers just off of City Square, however one of his armed guards was taken down. Thus, the second civil war has begun between Communists and Democrats in Brototh.
Sar graniabley islands
-Thomas Sar Porfilier, a member of the SDGU, has declared that the SDGU is the legitimate interim government of the Sar Graniabley Islands after giving a rousing speech in the Chamber of Deputies before he was hauled away by security.
-The SDGU, an anti-shogunate movement, has declared war on the Sar Graniabley Islands Shogunate-friendly Government, sparking a civil war on the islands.
-The SDGU asks for support from foreign military powers in hopes to take down the original government.
New torask
-A small region outside of the capital declared itself independent and had a pro-shogunate uprising, with rioters throwing whatever they can find at Torask soldiers assigned to the area.
-Rebels are fleeing to the forest as more Torask soldiers invade the area. There is extremely low chance of a civil war. 3 arrested and no casualties. Everyone who didn't want to take part in the uprising was evacuated.
The marconian state
-The Marconian State wrote a law which claimed an unclaimed island near Andusre to combat the overpopulation crisis and develop new technology. Before the claim, homeowners were fined if they didn't rent out units to several people. People were squashed together on trains, sidewalks and the like, meaning citizens all across the country celebrated the bill to annex the island. Tensions between parties in Marconia have been eased.

-The military branch of the Shogunate has declared itself the rightful leaders of the country and regime, they are now attempting a coup to benefit themselves further. A threat of the purge is looming over the bureaucracy, making many believe that they will surely oppose the coup to protect themselves.
