MKS Aisaka Kuroshio is the flagship of the Kaigun. It was laid down in 1981, launched in 1984, and commissioned 1988. Her hull number is BB-50, and she is the lead ship of the Aisaka Kuroshio class of four battleships. Her class is bound to be replaced by the Aikotsu Sarashiki class this 2019.
