A Brief History of St Abbaddon

In days long past the Kingdom of St Abbaddon had a different name, Atlantis. It was a free nation ruled by the benevolent king; Abbaddon, the King of Heroes, who was wise and noble in his leadership. Home to many races, it was a place of safety and prosperity. But there came a day when Abbaddon decided to raise Atlantis from the seafloor, and the great Islands of Abbaddon were formed out of the great azure plain of the ocean.

Hailing from the distant land of Trutina, a young Hero named Rydiafan was dismayed at the recklessness of the King, and set sail to the newly risen Islands to confront him. There, he learnt a terrible truth that Abbaddon was the prophesised Harbinger, the arbiter of the world's doom who in order to bring balance to the world had to destroy it. Determined to stop this, Rydiafan began raising an army and turned the world of heroes upside down. A rift opened up between those who supported Rydiafan, and those who supported the King, and the islands plunged into war.

Finally, Rydiafan and his army of heroes marched to defeat Abbaddon and a great battle ensued. Though Rydiafan was brutally injured, he was able to cast Abbaddon's trident from his hand, and defeated him. With Abbaddon's fall, the world once again saw peace, but at a cost. Many great heroes of diverse backgrounds and histories fell, and those of Abbaddon's supporters who survived would live with the guilt of defeat for the rest of their days, some even committing suicide in order to restore their honour.

Rydiafan would eventually return to Trutina where he came upon his throne as a widely respected military leader. His Empire would reign for a thousand years, but like any civilization his would eventually fade with time like footprints in the sand. The Isles of St Abbaddon remained however, a testament to the products of narration that built it. The descendants of the heroes who fought at that Last Battle lived on, carrying with them the legacies of the Isles. The story of St Abbaddon.

"Did I request thee, Shaper of my Clay, to mould me in thy image?"
