UFS Roleplay Guidelines

Rp Guidelines:

In the UFS, RP has very few, but important rules. These rules are in place to prevent an abuse of power and to create a more immersive story. These rules are split into multiple sections below.

Wars:

Wars are one of the biggest problems for rp as everyone wants to win. Be reasonable and learn to accept defeat. Before a battle, telegram your opponent. Work out who wins, losses and results there of.

-Battles: A battle occurs when 2 or more opposing forces collide. To avoid rmb clutter, all disagreements should be resolved over TG. If necessary the rp minister can step in and resolve the conflict. (Or in special cases a non involved individual)

-Troop movement: Troops aren’t magical. They need to be moved via rmb post. Otherwise they must be specified in factbook.

-Treaties: These mark the end to a conflict. They must be agreed upon by both groups, and specify any changes to each country.

Development:

Development is where you make your nation. Some of these are not so much rules, but notes on how to properly do things.

-Technology advances: To develop new technologies, you must first get permission from the RP minister, then you must make a post on start of production and a post on completion. These can be SIC. If you forget one of these, your new tech will be voided.

-Political shifts: This includes government changes. You only need to make a post.

-Internal RP: Internal RP is everything that doesn’t affect other nations. Here you can do crazy stories like an infection outbreak or civil war. If you wish to join someone’s internal RP you must TG them first.

SIC:

SIC is short for Secret in Character. These are actions that you post about but other nations In Character don't know about. They cannot use this info against you unless they find out in other manners. This can be a spy (also done in SIC) or if your action is able to be found out.

For example, government X hacks into government Y’s main database. Government X by doing so trips the alarm of Government Y’s Anti-virus system. Government Y now knows about the intrusion and could declare war on Government X.

If you fail to follow the rules, your post may and will be voided.
