Brief Introduction to Dragão do Mar

Over the past few years it has made major efforts to liberalize its economy, albeit it maintains traits of a mixed market as the common employment of public-private partnerships and the existence of strategic state-owned companies, measures adopted by the country during the 20th Century.
Dragão do Mar tries to balances tradition and progress. With a mostly Portuguese-descendant population which absorbed influences from many other cultures as the Tamu, the Totzkan and Xrevaran, influencing in the Marian language, religiosity, cuisine and arts several other characteristics of the Marian culture.
Its monarchy has strong roots in the Fortitudine ideology, created by the abolitionist revolutionary and first king ou the country, Rafael Santiago. During the history of Dragão do Mar, its monarchs often adapted the government style to the needs of the population, almost always aiming at achieving a balance between economic growth, social wellbeing and the protection of the environment.
