Day One - The Funeral of John Steel

Day One

First Event: Panteh Trontny - Marxist Canada

"When I was nine years old, I was on the streets of Toronto, searching for food. I was starving, and I looked like skin and bone. I was timid and feeble, as well as uneducated. One day, a man walked by me. I was sitting, begging, wishing I could get enough change to purchase something to eat. That man looked down at me. He stuck out his hand, inclining me to shake it, and said, 'Hello. My name is John Steel. What is yours?'
I will never forget that moment. Jump forward to now. I am a better person, living in a better nation. There is one man who is responsible for this, and he is the unfortunately deceased subject of this funeral. He was the greatest man I ever met. On the outside, he was a bold, cunning, brilliant thinker and strategist. He could think his way out of any situation, and win almost any debate. He was an unyielding, heroic leader. I was one of the few people who ever saw the inside of this personality. He was curious and brave. He was a kind, loving, and selfless man. He did not view himself as better than others. He loved his people.
For a while, John and I knew he would soon pass away. This pushed us to make sure to solidify his legacy. We worked tirelessly until we were satisfied. After this, I knew that his remaining days were numbered, and made an effort to make them the best and happiest days of his life. His death did not come as a surprise nor a shock, yet my heart is stung with the pain of one thousand needles.
John Steel did not die in vain. He left a lasting impact and an immortal legacy. I will miss our leader. I will miss my comrade. I will miss my co-worker. I will miss my friend. I will miss the man that was a father for me when no one else was. I will miss John Steel."

Second Event: Frederico Farrel - Red highvalley

"Our nation has known little of John Steel, yet in the few state visits, we have seen a great man. While our values don’t lie in the same basket, we appreciate Steel for the man he was. Iron-willed, his self-determination, even in the face of death, is an inspiration to all Red HighValleyians.
John’s death was expected, but nevertheless painful. If John Steel was here with us today, he would want us to continue his work; we mustn't let this disheartening event impede the progress and revolution he started. His memory will live on through his friend Panteh and his legacy: his nation."

Third Event: Hayden Carr - Marxist Canada

"The loss of John Steel has been very tragic. When I was the leader of the Red Revolutionaries, I couldn’t keep myself from admiring the tactical prowess of John. He took Toronto remarkably fast, and keep pushing at an astonishing rate. A lot of this can be credited to Panteh Trontny, but then it comes back around because John Steel taught Panteh. I looked up to John, and feel very honored that I was able to work with him for the past few months. He taught me so much, but what he taught me is microscopic compared to what he taught others. During his decline in health, he never showed any fear, and I envy that. He looked straight into the eyes of Death and simply said, 'Do what you wish. You don’t scare me.' We have lost a wonderful man, who will be missed."
