The AACI sports world has been having an excellent time with the recent boom in the international competition of our Holy Warriors. The second team to take off from Church Land for international play will be our Soccer team. More details on the first game on page 7.

The Holy Warriors’ soccer squad suited up in Gold and Blue, like any other game, but this was their first time against a team from outside the Church Land. Coached by Professor Markus Sakalav, of the Astrology department, the Holy Warriors are still riding the 21-game win streak that started with the last 12 games of last season. The Ligue de Soccer Interuniversitaire (LSIu), saw one of the best comeback seasons in its history with the Warriors’ season last year. This year, their dominance has been evident, with team chemistry at an all-time high and, according to the officials’ records, sportsmanship is at an all-time low. This team has the highest yellow-card-to-player ratio through 9 games, which isn’t a record the staff is keen to keep pursuing. But on to wilder competition: here in the gem of the foothills, the ugliest stadium that is not Kyzyl-Su Naval’s Basketball Arena shone bright with the reflection of the sun off of stainless steel bleachers. The Champions of Smarterial came to challenge our Holy Warriors, dressed in Red and Yellow. The scoresheet of the game is below:

After the game, the coach only had one comment: “The most idiotic way to get a Yellow Card will be one of our guys. I know it will get worse before they change.”
