The Tejano Armed Forces is the self-defense organization of the Sovereign Republic of Cohuila Y Tejas. Officially founded in 1711, the armed forces can trace its roots back into the 16th century in the form of colonial militias that were formed to fight for territory with the native population. The Tejano Armed Forces consists of 4 branches: the Army, Air Force, Space Force, and the National Guard. Additionally, while not considered a stand-alone branch, the Innovation department is responsible for both creating and iterating technologies, as well as managing the state defense industry U.S. in conjunction with the Cabinet of Economy. The Tejano Armed Forces has participated in many armed conflicts, international peacekeeping and humanitarian operations, and both domestic and international anti-terrorism in the past, but after a series of reforms in 1992 brought about by strong isolationist Prime Minister Carmelo Tomo-Rivera, the armed forces maintain an isolationist and domestic-focused doctrine.

The Tejano Armed Forces responds to the Cabinet of Defense and the incumbent Defense Minister. The incumbent Prime Minister serves as acting commander in chief, and if in any case they are unable to fulfill their duties, the head parliamentarian from the National Assembly will assume those duties. Under the 33rd amendment to the 1920 Constitution, in no situation is a declaration of war in aggression permitted. In order to utilize the full strength of the Tejano Armed Forces, the Prime Minister must declare a state of conflict.

Together, all 4 branches consist of 3,928,000 servicemembers. In a state of conflict, any civilian under the age of 40 who has completed military service in the past is eligible to be called up for national defense duties. The most recent census cites 41,331,230 capita as the available manpower pool.
