The Federal Republic of AMZN is a massive, efficient nation, remarkable for its frequent executions, enslaved workforce, and suspicion of poets. The hard-nosed, hard-working, democratic population of 3.845 billion AMZNians are effectively ruled by a group of massive corporations, who run for political office and provide their well-off citizens with world-class goods and services. Their poorer citizens, however, are mostly starving to death while being urged to go out and get real jobs. The populace has reasonably extensive civil rights, although these are mostly aimed at allowing them to buy whatever they like.

The tiny, pro-business, outspoken government is effectively ruled by the Department of Defense, with Healthcare also on the agenda, while Environment and International Aid aren't funded at all. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 7.7%.

The thriving AMZNian economy, worth 194 trillion AMZN Shareses a year, is led by the Gambling industry, with significant contributions from Book Publishing, Information Technology, and Automobile Manufacturing. State-owned companies are reasonably common. Average income is 50,480 AMZN Shareses, but there is an enormous disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 320,413 per year while the poor average 3,298, a ratio of 97.1 to 1.

Drug deals return to the streets as legions of undercover officers stalk the dark web, suicide victims often leave behind cash to cover the cost of their fines, stony-faced prosecutors play loud gangster rap music during court proceedings, and 4-year-olds are often found reminiscing about the 'good old days'. Crime is a serious problem, with the police force struggling against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. AMZN's national animal is the lion, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation.

AMZN is ranked 306,264th in the world and 21st in NYSE for Highest Average Tax Rates, with 7.71 Effective Tax Rate.
