The proclamation of the U.S.S.A.

After an issue arose about the un-seriousness of various political candidates, the Board of Internal Politics (B.I.P) along with the guidance of our great leader, in a meeting with all the registered political parties of the nation, decided to end the process of electing political parties. This decision was seen as sensible by most of the nation (expect for maybe the most devolutionist of the population) as most people hadn't really seen a point in voting for candidates that more or less already saw eye to eye on most socioeconomic issues, as all the candidates were members of the left anyway. But then, another issue was brought up during the meeting. The issue of how will policies be decided. The idea of a dictatorship with the leader ruling with an iron fist would not be received well by the general population, and even our benevolent leader who would benefit the most out of this arrangement scoffed in disdain of the thought. So the board came up with a new policy voting system for the people to use as an alternative. This would allow the citizens to propose new policies and laws for the nation and then vote for them in order to pass them up to the Committee of Internal Stability (C.I.S), where the impact of said policy or law can be evaluated on. After it passes the C.I.S it will then be put on the leaders desk to be signed in to law. After the decision had been made, the last issue came up. What about our name? Of course, we can not continue to call the nation a democratic republic as the people will no longer vote for political representatives. So, the board decided to officially rename the democratic republic to the United Socialist States of Altonium, to reflect the administrative structure of the nation. Glory to the Union!
