While not represented at the forefront of Alaska and California, Cascadia is a massive part of Alaskan and Californian heritage. Cascadia was a product of a massive and brutal civil war that decimated the entire country killing 12,000 civilians and 32,000 soldiers with 24,000 MIA. After the war, the country entered a "Golden Age" when the country developed both economically and technologically. Cascadia is even the basis for most of the policies that are the foundation of Alaska and California, those being Democracy and Capitalism. Since Cascadia is old enough to have a civil war, its culture was one of the most highly developed in the world. Its national animal was the Californian Golden Crested Eagle.
