Residency
Establishing Residency
All persons who are physically present in Angladen and non-transient (those who are a citizen, citizen by connection to a crown dependency, or resident) must establish or re-establish residency within 30 days of acquiring or changing an address. Residency management is the authority of county governments (or the equivalent). Having an established residency is a requirement to access many public services or receive public benefits (e.g. qualification for a resident tuition rate at public universities).
A person may only have one established residency. However, persons physically attending a tertiary institution can have a supplemental established residency.
Proving Residency
In order to prove residency, an individual must present a valid form of identification:
Passport
Angladen Card
Driver's license/identification card issued by Angladen or crown dependency
In addition to presenting a valid form of identification, an individual must present proof of address:
Automobile or other vessel registration
Court record(s)
Deed/title to residential property
Education record(s)
Financial record(s)
Healthcare record(s)
Lease/rental agreement with signatures
Postal record(s)
Voter record(s)
Tax bill record(s)
For individuals who experience housing instability and/or unhoused, the address of a service organization or shelter can be substituted with a letter attesting to that fact. The address of a family member or friend can be substituted with their proof of identity and proof of address along with a letter attesting to that fact. For individuals without legal status, residency information is not utilized for proactive immigration enforcement purposes, only when immigration enforcement proceedings have been authorized.
