Vote For GA resolution Airline Safety And Comfort Disclosures

General Assembly Vote Recommendation

Part of the Information for WA Voters program

Resolution at Vote: Airline Safety And Comfort Disclosures
Vote Recommendation: For

Resolution Analysis
Overview
This resolution requires a minimum level of disclosure regarding the comforts (or complete lack thereof) of air travel, from the type of aircraft, type of food, luggage to delays procedures. The sole operative clause is to require that if an airline changes the type of plane that is used, or reduces the service level advertised, a refund or free rebooking is required.

Recommendation
This resolution is more addressing real life pain points, especially those that travel on domestic basic economy flights on airlines in the United States, which can frequently be a horrific experience. The availability of disclosures at least gives consumers a choice and knowledge on what horrors to expect when they board an airplane.

For the above reasons, the Ministry of World Assembly Affairs recommends a vote For the at-vote GA resolution, "Airline Safety And Comfort Disclosures".
