Moving Forward

My fellow Frontierists and Friends,

I hope your holiday went well! I wanted to reach out to everyone about some changes with our region, with me, and the temporary measures we will need to take for the coming months. Over the last couple weeks, I have been given an amazing opportunity to move across the country and pursue a position I’ve wanted for a long time. Everything has been happening very fast on my end and it has been overwhelming and time consuming. This is the main reason why there has been a delay on the relaunch of our regional roleplay and my general lack of activity lately. These new developments in my life mean that I will have little time to commit to anything else for the next couple of months.

Over this past week, I have discussed with my fellow founding members in the Central Committee to decide the course of action we should take moving forward. The reality has been that the majority of our leaders, who have worked very hard to build Community to what it is, have been cursed with the responsibilities of real life and work. Regardless of this, we do not want to see Community die or worse, be captured by those who wish to destroy us.

In order to prevent this, we have decided to temporarily transition Community to a stronghold. A stronghold region is one that does not receive spawns like a frontier, but is much more secure through maintaining a Governor nation and successors to that position. I have issued Community’s transition to become a stronghold which will take 14 days. Given the time it takes for this to be accomplished, we have decided to instate a password on our region. This will prevent any invasion attempts enemies would take against our region while we wait for the transition to complete. In order to do this, it was required to eject some of our resident nations in order to meet the influence costs for the password. None of these nations are Party Members and none of them have been active within the region. These ejects are temporary and every nation will be telegrammed stating that they are welcome to rejoin Community once the transition is complete.

To make it clear, no one is abandoning Community. While we are a stronghold, we will still be recruiting consistently and we will still be releasing the roleplay. Maivelouria will be taking over the Cartographer role while I am tackling my real life changes. I will be directing the Roleplay Council to have the Rules and Guidelines ready to launch by this time next week. For those of you that are active and ready to claim land on the map, please hang on for only a little while longer. I recommend working on your factbook for your nation and figuring out its politics, government structure, culture, etc. while you wait.

I know these changes are sudden and might be confusing for some of you. If you have any questions, please reach out to me on Discord or reply to this telegram and I will answer them as quickly as I can. I believe this is the best way forward for our region to remain safe and secure over the coming months. Once the transition has been completed, we can set a timeline for when our region will transition back to a frontier. If you haven’t done so already, please join the World Assembly and endorse my nation to ensure a safe and successful transition for our region.

Thank you for your time!

In Solidarity,

Marim grunzy
Chairman of the Central Committee
