The Sultanate of Nistarim is a massive, socially progressive nation, remarkable for its complete lack of prisons. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 1.822 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it devotes most of its attentions to Education, with areas such as Religion & Spirituality and Social Welfare receiving almost no funds by comparison. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Information Technology industry, followed by Gambling and Book Publishing.

Protesters are up in arms over new nuclear power stations, nervous homeowners have been blamed for rising death rates amongst carol singers and locksmiths, Saturday morning cartoons feature full frontal nudity, and an increasing percentage of the population's youth have homosexual parents. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is a major problem, probably because of the country's utter lack of prisons. Nistarim's national animal is the Vildhjarta, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Daka.

Nistarim is ranked 3rd in Florida and 26,809th in the world for Most Subsidized Industry, scoring 12 on the Gilded Widget Scale.
