The Rogue Nation of Gnomolia is a large, environmentally stunning nation, remarkable for its compulsory military service, frequent executions, and stringent health and safety legislation. The hard-nosed, cynical population of 68 million Gnomolians are ruled with an iron fist by the socialist government, which grants its people the freedom to do whatever they like so long as it doesn't involve getting richer than anybody else or challenging the government.

The large, socially-minded, well-organized government prioritizes Defense, although Law & Order, Education, and Environment are also considered important, while International Aid isn't funded at all. The average income tax rate is 62.3%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The sizeable but sluggish Gnomolian economy, worth 1.63 trillion bitcoins a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is a slick, highly efficient, quite specialized black market in Arms Manufacturing, Pizza Delivery, Furniture Restoration, and Beef-Based Agriculture. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is 23,925 bitcoins, and distributed extremely evenly, with practically no difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

The death penalty has been reintroduced, politicians can be seen taking candy from babies, therapists dispense hugs for heroin dealers and cuddles for crackheads, and politicians cheer the nation's surging death rate. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Gnomolia's national animal is the Gnome, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.

Gnomolia is ranked 275,442nd in the world and 167th in Byzantion for Highest Foreign Aid Spending, scoring -10.95 on the Clooney Contribution Index.
